Social Media Alternatives

(A List we are Posting to Facebook)

Naturally we are advocates for alternative options to the norms. You want to swap out a phone? That’s cool, you should be able to repair it if you want.

You want to be on Social Media? You shouldn’t be relegated to Facebook, IG, Reddit, LinkedIn, Twitter, and TikTok. So we are going to dive in and find two alternatives for the above that you might want to consider in your future.

Social Media Alternatives

First of all, we want to start with a pseudo easy transition away from Social Media in its entirety. While this won’t make up for missing on family related posts, this is geared towards people who have a routine for checking in on new content and want to replace all social media with a different alternative.

Forum Boards

No, they’re not dead. Forum boards are a great place to find niche content and discussions on subjects that interest you. Simply Google whatever you want to interact with and forum board and now you’ve found a community where you can lurk and possibly interact with.

Discord

A personal favorite of the brand, discord is a great place for smaller communities surrounding small topics and if you tweak your friend group to the content you like, it can be a great hub for sharing memes and connecting over shared activities.

StackOverflow (Honorable Mention)

For anyone tech-adjacent, you should have had a StackOverflow account for a long time. There is a treasure trove of content and information there that you can casually browse and glean new insights from just a 3-5 minute session. However, this is only for people who like tech.
